Hugh Jackman is currently in the midst of promoting his Christmas Day hit, Les Miserables, but the reporters are already asking him about his next role and his return to the character of Wolverine in both The Wolverine and X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
The great news for us is that Jackman did give up some new tidbits in his recent interviews:
First, as to when in the X-Men film universe The Wolverine takes place:
You want to get me into trouble, don’t you? [laughs] Okay, the movie takes place after X-Men: The Last Stand. My character is at his lowest. He is supposed to be able to heal himself, but he may encounter someone who has worked out a way to really hurt him.
He also did drop this little teaser during the interview:
And there is a cameo from one of the past X-Men in it.
