It’s too soon to tell if James Gunn’s will be any good, but it is at least going to be a hell of a star-studded event. We’ve known for a while now that Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), dris Elba, David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher), Flula Borg, and Steve Agee (King Shark) were set for the film. And, just last week we learned that Nathan Fillion and Taika Waititi were set to join the film in unnamed roles. Now, word is coming down that two more big names are entering the project.
Deadline is reporting that Doctor Who’s Peter Capaldi has just joined the cast and SNL alum Pete Davidson is in talks for a small role in the film. Sadly, there’s no current word on who either of the actors could be playing, but there is a table read set for next week and production should get underway in Atlanta’s Pinewood Studios (where all the Marvel movies film) before the end of the month.
