If you were worried that John Williams didn’t have another Star Wars or Indiana Jones score left in him, you can breathe a sigh of relief. The other day, Variety had asked Williams about the films and he responded with:
“If I can do it, I certainly will. I told Kathy Kennedy I’m happy to do it, but the real reason is, I didn’t want anybody else writing music for Daisy Ridley.”
Then, at the big AFI dinner, honoring the conductor, reporter Scott Mantz was able to get the confirmation that we’d also be hearing a brand new Williams score along side the upcoming Indiana Jones sequel set to hit the big screen on July 19, 2019.
