While we still aren’t sure who’ll play Steve Rogers in Marvel’s much anticipated “The First Avenger: Captain America,” what we do know is that director Joe Johnston (The Rocketeer, Jurassic Park III, The Wolfman) plans to begin filming sometime next June.
According to an interview Johnston had with Fangoria regarding “Wolfman,” Johnston mentioned briefly near the end that he plans to start shooting Captain America in June.
“… recalls Johnston, speaking from the art department of The First Avenger: Captain America, which he’s readying for a June start.”
“The First Avenger: Captain America,” is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Chronicles of Narnia trilogy). With Kenneth Branagh’s “Thor” filming in January and “Iron Man 2’s” release in May, Marvel has its handful in 2010!
