While no plot details have been released for the upcoming Joker Sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux from Todd Philips and starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, it has been previously announced that the new film would be a musical. Now, some information is leaking out about how the music will fit into the film.
According to the new episode of the Weekly Planet Podcast, it’s being reported that the new chapter will be told from the perspective of Harley Quinn and the musical numbers will be how she interprets her evolving relationship with Joker. That could mean that the musical numbers are taking place entirely inside of Harley’s head.
Don’t expect any more news anytime soon, as Joker: Folie à Deux isn’t slated for release until October 4, 2024.
