DC Comics has announced that “Fringe” actor Joshua Jackson will write “Peter and the Machine.” The first three-part arc of “Beyond the Fringe,” which will explain what happened to Peter after the third season finale and before Friday’s fourth-season premiere.
The new “Fringe” comic will feature art by Jorge Jimmenez, and it will be available as a digital download at DC’s digital storefront and apps for $0.99.
This marks DC’s second “Fringe” comic, following Wildstorm’s 2010’s “Tales from the Fringe” six-issue miniseries.
Here’s DC’s official press release:
The new series will alternate every two weeks between “A” and “B” storylines for a total of 14 chapters. “A” storylines will explore events tied directly to the Fringe show canon, while “B” storylines will take a “what-if” approach and look at how things might change if certain elements are out of balance.
“Peter and the Machine” will be the first of the “A” stories. And, so long as none of the “B” stories involve last season’s shoddy animated universe, we’ll be all set.
