When Jurassic World: Dominion hits theaters this summer, there will be a new dino threat. Over the weekend, JW director, Colin Trevorrow unveiled the Giganotosaurus, aka Giga to Empire Magazine.
Unlike the Indoraptor that appeared in the last film, Giga is actually a real dinosaur that existed. From the sound of it, this dinosaur might have the most personality we’ve seen from any of them so far. Here’s what Trevorrow had to say about it:
“I wanted something that felt like the Joker,” Trevorrow said. “It just wants to watch the world burn.”
He went on to explain where this dinosaur is coming from in the story for the new film:
“BioSyn got the contract to house the dinosaurs that have been captured around the world via various governments. They claim it’s a research facility where they can study the pharmaceutical values of the animals. But there’s some other stuff going on.”
Jurassic World Dominion arrives in theaters on June 10,
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
