Next month, Adam Sandler’s next Netflix movie is heading to the streamer, and this time he’s going animated. This isn’t his first time doing an animated film. Years ago he had the Hanukkah classic Eight Crazy Nights, and more recently he had the Hotel Transylvania franchise (until he got wise and bailed from the last chapter).
This time around, the Sand Man plays an aging class pet lizard who wants to experience the world before his time is up. It looks way better than we were expecting from an Adam Sandler Netflix project. We hope the trailer is a tease of good things to come.

Jaded 74-year-old lizard Leo (Sandler) has been stuck in the same Florida classroom for decades with his terrarium-mate turtle (Bill Burr). When he learns he only has one year left to live, he plans to escape to experience life on the outside but instead gets caught up in the problems of his anxious students — including an impossibly mean substitute teacher. It ends up being the strangest but most rewarding bucket list ever…
