After crapping the bed with the live-broadcast version of a live-action Little Mermaid performance just over a week ago, Disney has a lot to prove with the actual live-action film adaptation they are planning for the children’s classic.
Today, Disney has announced that they’ve finally cast their Prince Eric in Jonah Hauer-King. The Little Women star snagged the role amid major rumors that it would be going to Harry Styles. He joins a cast that already includes Halle Bailey as Ariel, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian The Crab, and Awkwafina as Scuttle.
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
