Even after yesterday’s release of the first episode of The Mandalorian on Disney+, which included a flashback scene to the main character’s childhood, there are still some people out there who think Pedro Pascal’s main character will eventually be revealed to be the famous bounty hunter from the original Star Wars Trilogy. Now we can finally put the rumor to bed as Pascal has named his character, possibly by accident, in a new interview with Screen Slam. The magic moment happens just around the 2:30 mark.
In the interview, he talks about his first meeting with showrunner Jon Favreau, and then went on to speak about Din Jarin, the main character of the show. As much as we love Star Wars, the Jarin name doesn’t ring a bell to us, so we’ve got no idea if he has any ties to any other famous Mandalorians from Clone Wars or Star Wars Rebels. If there is, you can be sure that we’ll find out in the next eight episodes.
