Star Wars: The Last Jedi/ The Spy Who Dumped Me, actor, Justin Theroux is set to voice Tramp in the upcoming Live Action Disney Remake of Lady and The Tramp. He’ll join Extras actress Ashley Jensen who is set to voice Jackie, a female Scottish terrier that is friends with Lady. In the original film, the character was a male dog named Jock. There’s no word on who will be playing Lady.
The thing that sets this film apart from other Disney live-action remakes is that this one isn’t going to the big screen. In fact, you will only be able to see it if you are a member of the Disney streaming service. The film joins a growing late of content that includes new episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, multiple live-action Star Wars series, a reboot of Highschool Musical, and probably the majority of the 20th Century Fox and Disney film and TV libraries.
It will be interesting to see if films like Lady and The Tramp are given the same budgets and attention to detail that we’ve seen from the studio’s big-screen remakes, or if we will be looking at the equivalent of a direct to video release.
