‘Love Me’ Trailer Introduces Robotic Love Story To Rival Wall-E and Eve

The trailer just dropped for Love Me, an interesting new film that I’m not sure whether to qualify as sci-fi, romantic comedy, or somewhere in between. Set in the not-too-distant future, after humans are extinct, a robotic bouy, floating alone in the ocean, connects with a satellite.

The film unfolds as they pick identities from old earth social media and begin to explore their connection and what it means to be alive. The two robots will be voiced by and physically represented by Kristen Stewart and The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun. They are the only characters in the film.

Long after humanity’s extinction, a buoy (Kristen Stewart) and a satellite (Steven Yeun) inherit the Earth, and with only the internet as their guide, learn what it means to be alive and in love. In this groundbreaking first feature from Sam and Andy Zuchero, LOVE ME explores AI and identity through live-action, animatronics, and classic animation in an epic tale of connection and transformation.
