Lucifer could have ended with the season 4 finale on Netflix. It would have been a bummer of an ending, but it would definitely have worked. The good news is that Netflix announced a ten-episode final season back in June. The better news is that the streaming network has just announced that the fifth season of the series will now be expanded to 16 episodes!
I won’t spoil last season’s ending for you because it has only been out for a few months, but if you like a good twist, you should definitely check it out. Personally, I’m really excited to see Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woddside, Kevin Alejandro, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris, and Aimee Garcia come back for one more season. Each of their characters still has some story to tell and an arc to fulfill. Sadly, the show has yet to start filming and we have no idea when the new episodes will stream. But we’ll let you know as soon as the info is out.
