The Simpsons is actually having one of their better seasons this year, but that’s all we have gotten in a while from Matt Goening and his team. Futurama is just old reruns now, and The Critic isn’t even that. There may be some good news on the horizon, however. It is now being reported that the Simpsons creator has signed on to develop a new animated series for Netflix.
We don’t know much as of yet, but we know it will be a new, half-hour series and that a deal has already been struck with the steaming service for 20 episode. Netflix has been doing pretty well as far as primetime style animation. Bojack Horseman has been very solid throughout it’s run and Bill Burr’s F is for Family has promise (though doesn’t seem to be able to hold a candle to his stand up).
