Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons, is heading to Netflix with a 20 episode order for a new animated series that will star Abbi Jacobson, Nat Faxon, Eric Andre, John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding and Lucy Montgomery.
The show is called ‘Disenchantment’, and it will tell the tale of the failing medieval kingdom of Dreamland. Abbi Jacobson will lead the cast as Bean, a young princess with a drinking problem. Meanwhile, Nat Faxon will play her elf buddy, “Elfo”, and Andre will play her personal demon, “Luci”.
On the show, Gorening says:
“Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you.”
