A new proposal in the UK might lead towards the country having nuclear plants that shoot rainbows into the sky. The plan, from One Creative Environments, suggests that new power plants be built with large glass towers above them that would use light and water vapor to create a continual rainbow that arches over the entire nuke site.
Don’t expect to see the plant anytime soon, as it is not slated to be completed until 2024. In addition to the rainbows, the entire plant would be built underground, so as to not look all menacing and to allow the ground above it to be turned into a landscaped park area for children and families.
To match the beauty of the rainbows, an on-site nursery would cultivate a variety of plant-life that matches the colors in the sky.
