Variety is reporting that Ryan Gosling has called a doctor to help him out with his directorial debut, How To Catch A Monster. He didn’t just call any doctor though, he’s cast Matt Smith in his U.S. acting debut, to take the male lead.
Already cast in the film are Christina Hendricks and Eva Mendes.
Story is set against the surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city and centered on a single mother of two being swept into a macabre and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town. Production is set to start this spring.
