I didn’t get into the really old Flash Gordon stuff until my early 20’s, but when I was a kid, damn did I love the 80’s movie. I’m not even sure if it was really about the movie or Queen’s soundtrack. Now, the studios have seen how big space is again with the excitement over Star Wars and the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, so it’s become time to dust off a known quantity again and give it the reboot treatment.
The good news is this, Matthew Vaughn in Talks to direct the Flash Gordon reboot. He’s done some pretty great work between his directing gigs in the world of X-Men and the Kingsmen. I’d love to see what he can do with Flash.
