The first synopsis and images from Apple TV+’s upcoming Godzilla TV series, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has been released by the streamer and we are starting to get a better picture of what to expect from the series set in Legendary’s Kaijuverse that’s been building up over the last several years.
The series will be partially based after a battle where Godzilla and the Titans level San Francisco, but it will also jump back and forth in time as the story follows Kurt Russell in the present, and Wyatt Russell (his real son, playing his younger self) in the past. Joining the Russell Clan in the series are Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski.
Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch.
