Monsters vs Aliens Makes Leap To Small Screen

THR is reporting that Nick has ordered a pilot from DreamWorks for a potential TV series based on “Monsters vs. Aliens.”

This announcement comes on the heels of last week’s announcement of “Kung Fu Panda: The Series” and the recent premier of “The Penguins of Madagascar.”

For 2010, DWA had previously already announced “Kung Fu Panda” and “Shrek” TV specials. On Tuesday, Katzenberg confirmed that they were both for NBC. What now has the title “Scared Shrekless” will be a Halloween special, followed by a “Kung Fu Panda” holiday special.

I don’t know about you, but it sounds like that are just going to over saturate the market to make a quick buck and burn everyone out on their characters.
