magi Animation Studios, the former computer animation studio behind “TMNT” and “Astro Boy,” pitched this CGI “Legend of Zelda” movie to Nintendo, which Nintendo shut down.
Directed by Kerry Conran (“Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow”), this little online short features visual effects created by the very talented folks who also worked on “Avatar” and “The Avengers.”
It turns out that George Lucas wants to take the last little bits of stuff that made his new Star Wars Trilogy and whizz all over it with CGI. Check out the video comparison.
The new Disney film features an old-school 8-bit video game villain who is sick of being the bad guy. He jumps from game to game in the arcade on a quest to be a hero.
It is pretty funny, I’ve had some reservations about the new Thundercats 2011 cartoon that is coming out later this year, but watching this actually gets me excited for the new series. After all, there’s no way it can be worse than this!
