There have been several adaptations of Mortal Kombat, but this is the first time that Aquaman director James Wan has taken a stab at it. THR is reporting that Wan has just cast The Raid actor, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero for the new film.
This take on Mortal Kombat will only be produced by James Wan. Handling actual directing duties is Simon McQuoid, based on a script by Greg Russo. The there have been basically no details released about the film (other than the fact that Sub-Zero is in it), but w do know that it’s supposed to film in Australia sometime later this year.
