Fans might be mourning the impending finale of HBO’s Game Of Thrones, but the cable network has made sure that there will be plenty of new adventures for fans of Westeros to keep them happy for years to come. One of the planned series is a prequel, set several generations before the events of Game Of Thrones and it has just been announced that King Kong star, Naomi Watts has signed on for one of the lead roles in the series. Here’s the description of the new show:
“The series chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”
We can expect the new series to air at some point in 2020, several months after Game of Thrones finale hits in the spring of 2019.
