Fillion fans rejoice, ABC has picked up Nathan Fillion’s dramedy for a full, 22-episode season!
The new Murder, He Wrote series is in its sophomore season and has been showing promise holding onto a decent chunk of its “Dancing with the Stars” lead-in time slot on Monday nights. Despite competing against CBS powerhouse “CSI: Miami.”
TVGuide.com said the show is averaging between 9 million and 10 million viewers a week.
“Castle” starring Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion, debuted last season to modest ratings and received only an initial 13-episode commitment.
“Castle” is the fifth show ABC has given the full-season green light to. In addition to “Castle,” the network has picked up “The Middle,” “FlashForward,” “Cougar Town,” and “Modern Family.”
ABC still has two more 10 p.m. shows without full-season orders, “The Forgotten” and “Eastwick.” Both have averaged lower ratings than “Castle” against weaker competition.
