J.J. Abrams (LOST, Alias) co-created and executive produced sexy spy series “Undercovers” has been tagged as RED and officially terminated by NBC.
According to Variety, NBC has decided not to pick up the show’s “back nine” episodes essentially canceling the series.
“Undercovers” stars Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as caterers who have retired from the CIA — but are called back into active duty.
“Undercovers” which was touted as a possible new tentpole show has been struggling with the coveted 18-49 year old demographic during its given Wednesday 8 PM time slot. It averaged a rough 1.3 rating and 4 share in the most recent episode.
The first three of six remaining episodes will air Nov. 10, November 17 and December 1st. The final three have yet to receive an airdate.
