THR is reporting that the Emmy-winning “West Wing” actor, Martin Sheen, 70, has been cast as Peter Parker’s ill-fated Uncle Ben in the Marc Webb “Spider-Man” reboot.
While he pretty much gets knocked off within the first few minutes, we’re sure he’ll be making several “memory” appearances and we’ll no doubt get to hear the lecture about “how great powers come with great responsibility” that we haven’t yet heard enough of.
Sony will begin filming the “Spider-Man” reboot this December. Sheen will join Andrew Garfield (spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) and Rhys Ifans (???).
