NBC Developing New Modern-Day Frankenstein TV Series

NBC is reportedly developing a new TV series based on the legend of Frankenstein. It will be a modern-day take on the classic Universal/Mary Shelly monster.

The executive producers for “House MD,” Russel Friend and Garrett Lerner will pen the script. According to Deadline, the project has a script commitment, although details are being kept under wraps.

Because Hollywood is simply a monkey see monkey do business, NBC’s new Frankenstein series is naturally just one of six different Frankenstein productions in development currently. It ought to be interesting to see how this new series turns out however especially with it being a modern take which is expected to reimagine the classic character.
