Yeah! Another streaming network! At this rate, we’ll be paying twice what we were for cable within two years. At least until the streamers start partnering up because most of them don’t have enough to justify a monthly spend from viewers on their own. Then… we’re back to cable. It’s almost as if these companies know that 30% of income from auto-rebilled services come from the customers who forget they are still subscribed. OK. Rant Over.

The newest network to throw their hat into the streaming service ring is NBC Universal’s Peacock service. Which is good. Because now you can invite people over to peacock and chill. Along with a lot of older shows that will be streaming exclusively on the new service (see the list below), the biggest announcement is the new programming that is coming to the service. And, the newest thing you can hope for on Peacock are reboots of old things!

What do we mean? Well, first up will be Mr. Robot creator, Sam Esmail’s reboot of Battlestar Galactica. Then, there’s a Punky Brewster reboot coming with Soleil Moon Fry reprising her role, but this time taking on more of a Henry position to a new child. There’s even a Saved By The Bell reboot which will star Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley. She’s so excited, she’s so excited, she so scared! Finally, there’s word that the network is giving serious consideration to some sort of The Office reboot.

Other new shows set up at the network include a comedy called Rutherford Falls which will star Ed Helms and is created by the teams behind parks and reck and The Good Place, a new season of AP Bio, a new Psych movie, and a drama starring Alec Baldwin, Christian Slater, and Jamie Dornan called Dr. Death.

The new service is set to launch in April of 2020. There’s no word on pricing, but it will have to come in somewhere between $4.99 and $15.99 per month if it wants to compete with Netflix and other soon to launch services like Disney+, Apple TV +. and ATT/ Warner Bros new service, all of which will launch before Peacock.
