As you may have noticed by all the Christmas decorations popping up in stores, Halloween is only a month and a half away. That means it’s time to pump as much horror content out as the studios can. Sadly, a lot of it is going to be forgettable, but In The Tall Grass looks like it could be fun. I’ve never read the novella from Stephen King and Joe Hill, but it feels like a story where we’ll eventually find out that the humans have walked into a massive version of a venus fly trap with the ability to possess humans and use them as bait. If that’s the story, it could be very good. Also, it’s got a solid cast with  Patrick Wilson, Harrison Gilbertson, and Rachel Wilson.

“Some places have a mind of their own. Based on the novella by Stephen King and Joe Hill, when siblings Becky and Cal hear the cries of a young boy lost within a field of tall grass, they venture in to rescue him, only to become ensnared themselves by a sinister force that quickly disorients and separates them. Cut off from the world and unable to escape the field’s tightening grip, they soon discover that the only thing worse than getting lost is being found. Written and directed by Vincenzo Natali.”
