Two big potential details have come out in recent days, one of which is up for debate and one of which is a clip from the movie… you know know that one is set in stone. Let’s start there first.
Chadwick Boseman was just on the Ellen Show, and he brought along a clip from the new movie. In it, we get to see what looks like one of Boseman’s first outings in his Panther outfit. As we follow him into battle, he’s being given instructions on a great feature that will probably feature heavily into both this movie and battles in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. Basically, his suit is able to absorb kinetic energy and redirect it in some sort of kinetic shockwave. The result is impressive and cool as hell to see.
The second item is a throwaway line from an interview between Forest Whittaker and Variety. In the interview he says that the film is going to take us to outer space. As to what that means, there are differing opinions. Some people think that we’ll see some reference to comic book stories where Wakanda has been shown to be working on colonizing outer space. There are others, myself included, who think that Black Panther is going to lead us directly into the events of Infinity War.
