About a week or so ago, we reported on the Kickstarter campaign to bring back Mystery Science Fiction Theater 3000. Now, the campaign has crossed the $2,600,000 mark and just announced a new cast.
In the latest announcement they just revealed that Felicia Day has come on to play the role of “Kinga Forrester,” MST3K’s next Mad and Dr. Clayton Forrester’s daughter. Meanwhile, Hampton Yount and Baron Vaughn have signed up to play the voices of Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo. Finally, while not completely final, it is looking like The Nerdist’s Jonah Ray will be taking on the role of the new host.
So far, the campaign has earned enough to guarantee 3 new episodes. To complete their goal of a full 12 episode season, they have to bring in a total of $5,500,000 in the next 17 days.
