This isn’t a huge surprise, but Fox has now removed the Fantastic Four sequel from their line up of future film releases. Along with being just a bad film, the first FF movie also managed to give FOX a pretty big black eye regarding their reputation.
What does this mean? Well, if nothing else, it means the dream is still alive. Fox knows that it would be a bad move to try and reboot this franchise for a third time after two major failures. The optimist in me is hoping this means Marvel can re-acquire the film rights and maybe bring Reed Richards in for the Infinity War movies. We can hope.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
