I’m not expecting much from this movie. It’ll do well in the theaters and will probably get solidly mixed reviews, but at least it it seems to be taking the remake concept with enough of a tongue in cheek attitude that they are giving themselves room to have a hell of a lot of fun.
The new trailer for the film shows just how self-aware the characters of the film are of the absurdity of their situation. I’m hoping that the references we see in the footage make up most of the ones in the film though, or it could just end up being 90 minutes of “Hey Guys, isn’t this weird… This is like a 90’s Action TV show!”
