When I worked in a as a teenager, I used to refer to Playmobil toys as LEGOS for kids without an imagination. I never really understood the appeal of them compared to building your own toys with LEGOs, or just buying real action figures and playsets. Still, the brand has endured. There’s even a movie in the offing (I’m guessing it is a less imaginative version of the LEGO Movie). Now, Funko and Playmobil have teamed up to create a series of 6″ figures based off characters from Ghostbusters (Parapsychologist research professors Raymond Stantz, and Peter Venkman), Willy Wonka (Willy Wonka, Oompa Loompa),
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (The Turtles and Shredder), and Back to the Future (Marty and Doc Brown).
