Aside from a digital platform game called “South Park: Tenorman’s Revenge,” Obsidian Entertainment is currently developing an RPG based on the popular Comedy Central show known simply as South Park: The Game. In addition, the script will be written by creators of the show Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who will also voice their respective characters from the show.

Founded in 2003, Obsidian who has developed numerous titles that include “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II,” “Fallout: New Vegas,” “Neverwinter Nights 2,” “Dungeon Siege III” and “Alpha Protocol.”

Because the game is in early developmental stages, not much is known. But what we do know is that it has been described as a “full-scale RPG” for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Players will have the chance to play the role of a new kid in South Park who has to make friends and defend the town as threats emerge.

What began as one of the first viral videos, South Park has been on the air since 1997 and was recently renewed through 2016, which will bring the show to a mind boggling total of 20 seasons.

As of now, the South Park RPG has no release date, but we’ll be sure to update and write about it as more information is released in the coming weeks.
