The official Facebook page for Ridley Scott’s upcoming Aliens prequel “Prometheus” has been updated with a new plot synopsis that provides us with a bit more insight into the plot of the film.
“Ridley Scott, director of ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner,’ returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.”
From the looks of it compared to the original synopsis, this pretty much tells us the actual plot of the film. Or at least its general broad premise. Nevertheless, “Prometheus” should be pretty awesome and I can’t wait until we get to see some actual footage.
“Prometheus” will star Ben Foster, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce, and Michael Fassbender. It opens in theaters June 8th, 2012.
