It’s really easy to say that the world doesn’t need another Terminator film. After all, between Rise of the Machines and Genysis, the franchise has been been pretty well beat to death. The only thing that has us at all optimistic about the new production is that James Cameron is back to oversee the production. The film will also have Deadpool director, Tim Miller, on board to helm it.
We don’t know too much about the film, but reports have it retconning everything that happens after the events of T2: Judgement Day. We know that Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to reprise his role. We also know that Linda Hamilton is supposedly set to return as Sarah Connor. Here’s what Schwarzenegger told his fan site, The Arnold Fans, about the status of the project in a new interview:
“We are starting to shoot Terminator 6 in June to the middle of October, so I am in that. I am looking forward to coming back as the T-800 model. It’s gonna be great with Tim Miller as the director and Jim Cameron is kind of supervising the whole thing.”
