Paramount Pictures has released a brand new “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” trailer. This is the new 3D trailer that will be shown today in theaters in 3D with Disney fourth installment of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.” The new trailer features a few new scenes and certainly more transforming robot goodness. Unlike previous Transformer films, this third installment watches more like an alien invasion than your regular Autobots verses Decepticons on earth.
“Dark of the Moon” is set to be released on June 29th. The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk, John Turturro and Leonard Nimoy.
Here’s the official synopsis:
The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
