Fans are still drooling over last week’s trailer for Alien: Covenant, but Ridley Scott has got his eye on the future. In a new interview with the Sidney Herald, Scott revealed that he’s already got the next chapter of the Alien Saga written.
While working on Alien: Covenant, he had the next installment written so he is ready to keep advancing the saga.
“You’ve got to assume to a certain extent success and from that you’d better be ready,” he says. “You don’t want a two-year gap. So I’ll be ready to go again next year.”
Going back to 2015, Scott has said his plans were to have two more films in the series after Covenant, with the final movie wrapping back around and connecting to the beginning of the original film. The good news is that it looks like he’s on track to make it happen. The bad news, is that there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Neill Blomkamp’s is ever happening.
