Paramount Adapting ‘Mighty Mouse’ For The Big Screen

Paramount Pictures is looking to develop the animated classic “Mighty Mouse” into a major motion picture. Having already adapted and developed several film projects of similar nature such as “Alvin and the Chipmunks,” and the soon to be released “Smurfs” and “Marvin the Martin,” it was only a matter of time before they got to the superheroic Mighty Mouse.

Currently being pushed into production, the studio has been actively meeting with writers and directors to as well as deciding whether to team up with developers at Dreamworks or to product the project on their own. According to GeekTyrant, Paramount is interesting in keeping “Mighty Mouse” in house.

For those unfamiliar with the vintage cartoon, “Mighty Mouse” is about a super mouse modeled after Superman that ran as a Saturday morning cartoon from the 1950’s to the 1980’s. It’s perhaps best known for its original title sequence jingle which we’ve included below.
