In a new ad that will amuse some and infuriate others, The UK/ Ireland KFC chains have hired Kristian Nairn, the man who famously played Hodor on Game of Thrones, to parody his heart-breaking origin story. The main difference is, instead of yelling “Hold the door!” he’s being swarmed by hungry customers who want to order chicken and fries. The title of the new commercial? “Lunchtime is coming!” what else would you expect?
The lunchtime rush. A hungry horde. Only one man can hold them back.
The KFC Ricebox. The same great Original Recipe chicken, just with rice instead of fries.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
