Variety is reporting that There is going to be another Rambo movie.
Nu Image/Millennium Films has greenlit the franchise’s fifth installment, with Sylvester Stallone starring and directing, repeating his duties from 2008’s “Rambo.”
The upcoming project’s storyline revolves around Rambo fighting his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border. Production will start in the spring.
While the last Rambo film only did just OK at the box office, there is still a strong love for the character and a belief that Stallone has the capacity to create some pretty impressive movies when he puts his mind to it. After all, he wrote, directed, and starred in Rocky!
Stallone is also experiencing a resurgence with his new film, “Expendables” which will be coming out next spring.
we here at YBMW are just interested to see how he’s going to top the gore and violence he laid on us with Rambo 4. We haven’t seen that much Caro syrup in a non-zombie movie since the final scene of Robert Deniro’s “Taxi Driver.”
