Screen Gems has set an official release date for the fifth installment of the “Resident Evil” movie franchise that will once again star Mila Jovovich.
“Resident Evil 5” is set to be released in theaters on September 14, 2012. Paul W.S. Anderson is expected to once again direct although it has yet to be confirmed. Not much is known about “Resident Evil 5” and we’re not sure if it will follow the same 3D format as “Resident Evil: Afterlife,” which sucked but still managed to wrangle in $296.2 million at the worldwide box office.
We’ll have more as it develops.
