The Fraggle Rock movie has had its ups and downs on both the script and the music. Good friend of YBMW, Cory Edwards wrote the script for the film, but the studio has been hemming and hawing forever. The word is they want something with a little more edge… like ‘Alvin And The Chipmunks’. Now that the Smurf movie is coming out, it was actually starting to look like the movie wasn’t going to happen at all.
On the music side, things have been… interesting to say the least. Initially, Ahmet Zappa was going to write the soundtrack. Now it has just been announced that Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears and guitarist Babydaddy will be taking on the honors.
I wonder what this means for Cory’s script… We’ll do some digging and let you know as soon as we have some news.
