Well, that’s one way to make sure the Fantastic Four license doesn’t revert back to Marvel.
Noah Hawley, Cretor of the hit FX series, Legion, just dropped a major bomb on the crowd at the end of the panel (we’ll have a panel wrap up just as soon as we get this post out). Pretty much out of nowhere, Hawley announced that he was working on developing a solo Doctor Doom film for Fox. His actual statement about his new project was this:
“I’ll just say two words. The first one is Doctor and the next one is Doom.”
THR is now reporting that he’s writing the script himself and hopes to also direct it. Given his success with Legion, I’m sure that Fox was all too happy to hand him the keys to a franchise that they haven’t really been able to make heads nor tails of since they first decided to cast Jessica Alba as Sue Storm, and then somehow allowed Fan4stick to actually get released.
There’s a good chance that this is one of the unnamed marvel films that Fox slotted a date for a couple weeks ago.
