There was a big question as to whether Marvel would give much news out tonight in Hall H, or if they would save it all for D23 in a couple of weeks. While we think there are some big casting reveals coming at the Disney con, they definitely did not hold back with the announcements including the slates for phase 5 and 6 of the MCU. We are going to split them up so it doesn’t get too messy, but here’s what is coming up next for Phase 5 of the MCU.
While we did get the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer tonight, that film is going to be part of what wraps up phase 4. Phase 5 will be kicking off with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and Secret Invasion. After those two titles kick off the new years, 2023 will push hard with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Echo, Loki season 2, The Marvels, Blade, Ironheart, and Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
*side note – If they are going to go through the trouble of making an Agatha Harkness show, we are going to put money down on the fact that we have not seen the last of the Scarlet Witch.
Once we finish up with 2023, 2024 comes in hot with an 18-episode Disney+ series – Daredevil: Born Again which will bring back both Charlie Cox and Vincent D’nofrio. That will be followed by Captain America: New World Order, and Thunderbolts. According to Kevin Fiege, that will wrap up Phase 5.
