A big treat for attendees to Comic-Con yesterday was the unveiling of the first look for the upcoming Disney+ sequel series National Treasure: Edge of History.
In the new series, Lisette Olivera stars as Jess Morales, a young Latina-American DREAMer whose family history will provide one of the mysteries of the series. She’s joined by Justin Bartha who is returning from the original franchise as Riley Poole. Also along for the adventure are Jordan Rodrigues (Ethan), Jess’s childhood friend who has had feelings for her forever, Zuri Reed (Tasha), Jess’s best friend, Jake Austin Walker (Liam), a swoonworthy musician whose family are all treasure hunters, Antonio Cipriano (Oren), a lovable conspiracy theorist who is also Tasha’s ex and wants her back, and Lyndon Smith (FBI agent Ross). Finally, Catherine Zeta-Jones is on-hand as the series’ apparent antagonist Billie, described as a “badass billionaire.” Hollywood Icon Harvey Keitel is also featured in the some of the newly released footage, but it is unclear whether he will have a recurring role or just appear in one episode.
