‘Seven Stages To Achieve Eternal Bliss’ Trailer Makes Cults Fun Again

You’ve seen Taika Waititi as everything from a vampire to a rock creature and even as Hitler himself, now the actor/director will be appearing in the upcoming Seven Stages To Achieve Eternal Bliss as a cult leader who kills himself in the bathtub of a small apartment, inspiring all of his followers to do the same. The only problem is that the young couple who just rented that apartment have no idea that their bathroom has become the favorite spot for a series of crazy people to off themselves.

Yeah, this is one of the stranger premises that we’ve had for a comedy in a while, but Seven Stages To Achieve Eternal Bliss looks like a lot of fun. Along with the seriously weird storyline (which starts to take a major turn in the trailer), it has a great cast that not only includes Waititi but Kate Micucci and Sam Huntington as the couple who rents the apartment, Rick and Morty’s Dan Harmon as the detective investigating the series of deaths in their bathtub, and a long line of suicidal cameos that include Maria Bamford, Brian Posehn, and Mark McKinney.

Seven Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss hits select theaters March 6 and VOD March 17.
