“Sons of Anarchy” star Sarah Jones has been given the lead in J.J. Abrams’ new pilot “Alcatraz.”
She will join former “Lost” star Jorge Garcia in a drama centering on a group of missing Alcatraz prisoners and guards who mysteriously reappear in the present day, after disappearing 30 years ago.
Jones is set to play Rebbecca Madesen, a FBI agent responsible for unraveling the mystery and tracking them down.
Jones is best known for her recurring role on FX’s “Sons of Anarchy” last season. Her credit also includes recent guest spots on Fox’s “House” and the short-lived “Lone Star.”
