In stephen King’s books, there was always a connection that loosely tied all of his stories together; Sony wants to make sure that the same holds true for the movies. To that end, they used a new teaser for Stephen King’s Dark tower as a way to introduce everyone to what they are calling the “Connected KINGdom.”
In the new trailer, Idris Elba narrates while we move through the worlds of The Shining, It, Christine, Carrie, and Shawshank Redemption before landing at the Dark Tower and finding out that they are all tied together.
